Maserati India has introduced the 2021 Maserati Ghibli range in the country with a host of updates including a new engine offering. The updated 2021 Maserati Ghibli was revealed last year and is receiving design and feature enhancements, along with the addition of a hybrid powertrain. The price of the new Ghibli range is Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom, India) for the basic hybrid version, up to Rs 1.93 crore (ex-showroom, India) for the Trofeo version that tops the range. The sports sedan has a total of three engine options and two finishes: GranLusso and GranSport.
The 2021 Maserati Ghibli comes with a revamped design while keeping things familiar. The front profile has been updated for a sharper appearance, and the model now comes with fully customizable Matrix LED headlights complemented by the signature grille, while the rear has new Maserati 3200 GT-inspired LED taillights. The model now uses a lightweight steel construction while maintaining a 50:50 weight distribution. The sports sedan is also available in the Nerissimo and Nerissimo Carbon packages, while the luxury GranLusso and GranSport wheels continue to be offered.
In terms of equipment, the 2021 Maserati Ghibli continues to use Brembo brakes and calipers, while the exhaust has been optimized for better acoustic tone, which is a hallmark of the manufacturer. The new Ghibli also comes with Skyhook suspension that uses sensors to monitor the movement of each wheel and body to determine road conditions, and automatically adjusts each shock for the best ride quality.
2021 Maserati Ghibli Interior
Inside, the new Maserati Ghibli comes with a few changes, including modern new styling. The latter is the automaker’s connected car technology that can be used via the smartphone app and provides the owner with a wealth of new data and features, including a virtual personal assistant. The car also has a new 7-inch console.
Other 2021 Maserati Ghibli features include keyless entry, a kick-sensing power trunk, and a Level 2 ADAS that provides self-driving in-vehicle driving. It also helped the car achieve a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP results.
