-Tata Tiago NRG BS6 likely to bring visual and feature updates
-The model is expected to be petrol-only.
Tata Motors sent out a launch invitation that reads: “Watch the #Tough and #Sporty launch of something really fun.” The “really fun” part is the Tiago logo, and the sportier version hints that the next model could be the Tiago NRG.
Originally introduced in September 2018, the Tiago NRG has received visual and crossover design updates compared to the standard model. The Tiago NRG features black plastic wrap around the hatchback exterior, dummy skid plates, roof rails, 14-inch alloy wheels, and black tailgate inserts with the NRG badge.
Inside, the 2021 Tiago NRG could arrive with an all-black cockpit and orange accents for items like the gearbox, air conditioning vents, and center console. The model may also come with a cooler glove box and orange seat insert.
The Tiago NRG was previously presented with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.05-litre diesel engine in BS4 format. The updated model is expected to be offered with a BS6-compliant version of the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 84 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. This engine can be available with a 5-speed manual engine and an AMT engine.
