Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to launch their new SUV, the XUV700 in India this year. Based on the company’s new W601 SUV platform, Mahindra XUV700 will be a 7-seater SUV.
Mahindra XUV500 was launched in 2011 as the company’s flagship model. The XUV500, which was designated as a cheetah-inspired SUV, has become popular with enthusiasts looking for a luxury SUV under Rs. 15 lakh, something that was lacking in the market at the time. However, with the launch of SUVs like the Creta, Seltos, and Jeep Compass, the XUV500 is old and that’s where the new XUV700 comes in.
The XUV700 will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, with manual and automatic transmission choices, along with optional All-Wheel-Drive (AWD). We can predict the new XUV700 will come with features like electronic parking brakes, at least 6 airbags ABS with EBD ISOFIX child seat mounts, all four disc brakes, and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as well.
The SUV is also likely to come with features like – Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and a wireless charger as well.
Mahindra XUV700 shall come with full-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, sporty alloy wheels, a new large grille, and new horizontally mounted LED taillights. Additionally, the signature paw-like door handles of the XUV500 will be replaced with more modern flush-fitting door handles.
