Hyundai Verna Gets A New Petrol Variant

The new version of Hyundai Vea E is available with a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. The petrol unit generates a maximum power of 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox to perform the transmission tasks.

The 2020 Hyundai Vea E is priced at Rs 9.02 lakh (Ex-showroom), which makes it more affordable at around Rs 28,000 compared to the previous entry-level petrol model S. The latter costs Rs 9.30 lakh (Ex-showroom).

The new Hyundai Vea E comes with all the comfort and safety features of the S model. However, it misses some important features, including a USB charger, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a kickstand. For sunglasses. On the outside, the model features a chrome-plated front grille, halogen headlights, ORVM-mounted gauges, and 15-inch steel wheels with 185/65 tyres and wheels.

Features list includes steering wheel-mounted controls, a manual air-conditioning unit with rear air vents, a 4-speaker Arkamys system, a cooled glove compartment, electrically adjustable ORVM units, power windows, front and rear armrests, and adjustable headrests in the seats Front, analog tachometer, two-tone beige, and black interiors. On the safety front, you'll get dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, remote central locking with keyless entry, a manual interior rearview mirror for day and night, and ABS with EBD.

The updated Hyundai Vea is also available with 1.0-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines. While the former is good enough for 118 hp and 172 Nm, the latter generates 113 hp with 250 Nm. The turbocharged petrol engine comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while the oil bu
er is available with both a manual and a six-speed automatic.

If the reports are to be believed, the South Korean automaker could offer the new iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) gearbox in its updated lineup for the Ve
a and Creta models.
