India is facing the heat of the second wave of COVID-19 and shutdowns have closed in many parts of the country, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturing company, introduced its customers to a new feature, the virtual showroom and a Hero Product Configurator (HPC). The idea, Hero says, was to offer customers an impressive digital shopping experience.
Commenting on the launch, Naveen Chauhan, Head – Sales and Aftersales, Hero MotoCorp, said, “At Hero MotoCorp we are constantly striving to enhance our customer buying experience. Considering the need for social distancing and catering to digitally savvy customers, it is imperative for our services to be present at the customers’ fingertips while providing a holistic experience right from the beginning of their purchase journey. This feature is in line with our commitment to building value-led initiatives. Soon after launching our messaging app-based chatbot services, we are now bringing a Hero showroom straight to the customer’s room.”
Hero’s Virtual Showroom simulates a real showroom, providing a 360-degree view and allowing customers to experiment with the hero on two wheels and explore the features and technical specifications of the models shown. Hero also offers a “Request a call back” feature to inquire about the vehicle, and you also have the option to purchase it directly. Hero says that 9 two-wheelers are on display in the virtual showroom. The platform also offers a product configurator where customers can change colors, add optional accessories and features, and then make a final purchase. Prices will be updated according to the selected location and additional features will be added. HPC also offers an AR or augmented reality experience where customers can see the product directly in their homes, offices, etc.
