BMW launched the M340i on 10th March, 2021. Basically, the BMW M340i goes in the middle between the regular BMW 3 Series variants like the 330i and the BMW M3 which is yet to be launched in India.
BMW India has started bookings online at Rs. 1 lakh from 5th March, 2021. The company has stated that the BMW M340i will be available in limited quantities. In addition, the first 40 customers will have the opportunity to take part in a “specially selected driver training at an iconic race track in India” with certified BMW coaches.
BMW M340i Exterior
Visually, the BMW M340i xDrive differs from the Vanilla 3 Series thanks to the more aggressive styling bumpers, narrow grille design and dual L-shaped DRL LED headlights. It will be offered with 18-inch alloy wheels in two colors and customers will have the option to choose from three color options: tanzanite blue, dravite Metallic gray, sunset orange. The BMW M340i will be offered with the customization packages: the enthusiast package, the racer package and the motorsport package.

Inside, it comes loaded with a world of supplies, such as electrically adjustable seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with iDrive, head-up display, ambient lighting, and triple climate control. Zones, electric sunroof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, four driving modes, and more. For safety, the BMW M340i xDrive has six airbags, cruise control with braking, collision sensor, cornering brake control, tire pressure monitoring and more.
BMW M340i Engine
It has the power of a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 387 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque. It is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M340i can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest car ever built in India.
BMW M340i Price
With BMW assembling the M340i domestically, the price should be very attractive. The BMW M340i comes with a price tag of Rs. 62.9 lakh(ex-showroom). The M340i takes the Mercedes AMG C 43 coupe. However, in India, the C 43 is only available in coupe form. It will soon have another competitor in the form of a 2021 Audi S5 Sportback.
