2021 BMW X3 Petrol xDrive 30i SportX Launched; Prices Start At Rs. 56.50 lakh

BMW X3 Petrol xDrive30i SportX, at Rs. 56.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India), is the latest addition to the X3 range in India. It comes with a 252 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. With the new launch, benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh are also available to customers for a limited time.

The BMW X3 competes with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Land Rover Discovery Sport, and the Audi Q5 facelift which will be launched later this year.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates 252 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and power is transmitted to all four wheels through BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. BMW claims that the X3, in this configuration, can do 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

In particular, BMW also offers the X3 with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine in the xDrive20d Luxury Line Edition.

In terms of features, the BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX is well equipped. You get an 8.8-inch infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 5.7-inch MID display, display key, three-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights, rear and fog lights, automatic headlights, windshield wipers, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and much more.

However, since it is the new entry-level model, there are a few things that the new SportX design misses compared to the high-spec Luxury Line, which features equipment such as adaptive LED headlights, dynamic damper control, and a system of Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound, wireless charging and instrument cluster. 12.3-inch, 10.25-inch digital infotainment system and larger 19-inch wheels, just to name a few.

The new BMW X3 Petrol xDrive 30i SportX comes with prices starting at ₹ 56.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and the model will be locally assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant along with the existing variants in the range. BMW X3 started at ₹ 61.80 lakh and with the introduction of the new variant, BMW has made it more affordable too.
