AutoNxt Launches Sales of India’s First Electric Tractor for Sustainable Agriculture

AutoNxt Automation has commenced sales of India’s pioneering electric tractor, marking a significant milestone with the first unit sold to Jaywant Sugar Mills. The official launch event took place in Western Maharashtra at the Yashwantrao Mohite Krishna Sugar Factory, graced by the presence of Dr. Sureshbaba Bhosale, Chairman of the factory. The event drew directors, staff members of the Y. M. Krishna Cooperative Factory, and numerous local farmers, all eager to witness this revolutionary step forward. Dr. Bhosale lauded the launch as a groundbreaking development for both agriculture and industry.

Revolutionising the Tractor Segment

Dr. Sureshbaba Bhosale emphasized the transformative potential of AutoNxt’s electric tractor, stating, “AutoNxt’s electric tractor will bring about a revolution in agriculture and various industrial sectors,” highlighting the shift from traditional diesel-powered machinery.

AutoNxt's electric tractor aligns with India’s 'Make in India' initiative, promoting sustainable development in agriculture and industry. Dr. Bhosale underscored the importance of this innovation in addressing potential fuel shortages and supporting the country’s move towards sustainable practices. He also expressed pride in the fact that Kaustubh Dhonde, the founder and CEO of AutoNxt, is from Wai taluka in Satara district.

Innovative Features

The 45 HP electric tractor from AutoNxt boasts impressive capabilities, including transporting over 15 tons of goods, performing tasks such as reversible ploughing and rotary cultivation, and covering approximately 50 km on a full charge. Charging the tractor takes only three hours and can be done using both three-phase and single-phase electricity, leading to 60 to 70% fuel savings. This makes the electric tractor an attractive option for farmers looking to reduce costs and minimize their carbon footprint.

Kaustubh Dhonde, founder and CEO of AutoNxt, shared his vision for the future of farming in India during the event. “Our nation heavily relies on agriculture, with farmers being the backbone of the economy. Traditional diesel tractors, while reliable, are costly to maintain and environmentally harmful. With the AutoNxt electric tractor, we aim to provide farmers with an affordable, efficient, and eco-friendly alternative,” Dhonde stated.

AutoNxt's electric tractor is set to reshape the future of farming and various industries, offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution for India’s agricultural sector.
