2021 Kia Sonet vs Hyundai Venue vs Vitara Brezza vs Tata Nexon: Price comparison

Kia India launched the Sonet 2021 earlier this month. Aside from some new features, the compact SUV also received a price increase. In April, we saw Hyundai Motor India increase the prices of the premises and Maruti Suzuki India did something similar to the prices of Vitara Brezza. However, Tata Motors has not raised prices for Nexon in the current fiscal year.

The price of a 2021 Kia Sonnet ranges from Rs 6,79,000 to Rs 13,25,000 (Ex-showroom, India). While the Hyundai Venue is now available in the price range of Rs 6,92,100 to Rs 11,76,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza now starts at Rs 7,51,500 and goes up to Rs 11,41,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Tata Nexon is offered in the price range of Rs 7,09,900 to Rs 12,79,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Kia Sonet has three engine options: 1.2-liter petrol Smart Stream (83 hp / 115 Nm), 1.0-liter T-GDI petrol Smartstream (120 hp/172 Nm), and 1.5-liter CRDi diesel (100 hp/240 Nm - WGT, 115 hp/250 Nm - VGT). The 1.2-liter petrol engine is mated to the 5-speed MT engine, while the 1.0-liter T-GDI petrol engine has 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT automatic options. The 1.5L CRDi diesel engine can be combined with the 6-speed MT (WGT) or the 6-speed AT (VGT).

Hyundai Venue shares engine and transmission options with the Kia Sonet. There is a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine (83 HP/114 Nm) paired with the 5 speed MT engine. The 1.0-liter Kappa Turbo-GDI petrol engine (120PS/172 Nm) has 6-speed automatic MT, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT automatic options. The 1.5 liter (100 HP/240 Nm) U2 CRDi diesel engine coupled to the 6-speed MT engine.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine (105 hp/138 Nm). While the 5-speed MT is standard, there is also an option for the 4-speed AT.

The Tata Nexon comes with two engine options: the Revotron 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol (120 HP/170 Nm) and the Revotorq 1.5-liter turbo diesel (110 HP / 260 Nm). Both engines have MT 6 and AMT 6-speed options.
