Benelli has just introduced the next generation 302R, a fully streamlined entry-level motorcycle. This motorcycle has received massive changes to make it extremely competitive.
The Benelli 302R now looks sharper and more aggressive from all angles. The front shows elegant panels, and the bike is now equipped with a vertically stacked projection lamp surrounded by LED turn signals. The overall design of the chassis plate has been greatly improved and it is flowing smoothly. The frame has also been carefully revised and is much lighter than the previous model. In fact, the 2021 Benelli 302R has lost a whopping 22kg, which makes it around 182kg.
The bike is still powered by a 302 cc parallel-twin engine. But it is now Euro 5 compliant which means it is BS6 compliant as well. While there is a slight drop in strength, significant weight loss means the bike is going to be an exciting ride.
The bike now has 41mm front forks with a preload adjustment, and at the rear, where there is a mono-shock with the same adjustment function. The braking section is handled by a four-piston two-cylinder caliper and one disc at the rear.
Benelli 302R is expected to launch in India in few months and if that happens it will give some serious competition to Ninja 300.
