Q2 is the most awaited launch in the top luxury cars segment. The Audi Q2 is the latest entry-level crossover / SUV in the Ingolstadt-based luxury carmaker group and it was launched in India on October 16, 2020. The Audi Q2 is based on the same platform. MQB, which currently supports Volkswagen T-Roc and Skoda Karoq in India, and like them, this is also coming to India as a fully built unit (CBU) model. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine generates 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

In terms of features, the Audi Q2 has a virtual cockpit, MMI interface, smartphone connectivity in the form of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charger, sunroof, and a 180-watt 10-speaker audio system. But the Q2 is losing the touch screen system, rear air conditioning vents, and power adjustment for the front seats. SUV price from Rs. 34.99 lakh to Rs. 48.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

The BMW 2 Series Grand Coupé, the smallest four-door sedan in the Indian group of the Bavarian automaker, was launched on October 15, 2020. Based on the same BMW X1 platform, the new styling and new design of the car, the 2 Series Grand Coupé borrowed from BMW's larger Gran Coupés, especially the Eighth category. At this time, the coupe is offered only with a single diesel engine option: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, tuned to generate 187 hp and 400 Nm of maximum torque. It will be mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. However, BMW intends to introduce the petrol option soon.

Currently, the car is offered in two variants: 220d Sportline and 220d M Sport. The 2 Series Gran Coupe offers a host of other features including ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, parking assistance, electrically adjustable front seats, and a BMW digital key. The model will be assembled at the company's factory in Chennai and ranges from Rs. 39.3 lakh to Rs. 41.4 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The iconic Land Rover Defender was finally launched in India this year and comes in the next generation of Avatar, which is offered in two styles: 90 (3-door) and 110 (5-door). The luxury off-road SUV was launched in India on October 16, 2020, around which time the company began delivering the Defender 110. Both are available in five variants: Base, S, SE, HSE, and First Edition, and it comes to India as a built unit model In full (CBU). Land Rover added several elements that pay homage to the original Defender, including cast aluminum windows and split taillights that now receive LED treatment. The SUV maintains this robust, boxy silhouette. Under the hood, the new Land Rover Defender comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 292 hp and 400 Nm of maximum torque, while it is mated to an automatic transmission. The SUV also features Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system, which can be tuned to improve traction and also automatically lift 145mm when driving off-road. The air suspension can reduce the ground clearance by 50mm to improve entry and exit. The maximum wading depth in the SUV is 900 mm. The Land Rover Defender 110 is currently priced in India between Rs. 73.98 lakh to Rs. 89.63 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Mercedes-Benz EQC is the first fully electric car from the luxury carmaker in Stuttgart, and after being in the global markets for a year, it finally launched in India this year, on October 8, 2020. In the first phase, the EQC will be sold in Mumbai, and Pune, And Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru, but customers in other cities Udades can also buy and reserve a car online. Mercedes-Benz has installed more than 100 charging points in 48 cities in India. The electric SUV is available at an introductory price of Rs. 99.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the first 50 customers. It has more moderate power, features, and hybrid technology than its predecessor. The GLE 53 AMG Coupe looks identical to the GLE, albeit with the Affalterbach treatment. This includes a 15-slat front grille, a sharper windshield, and a slanted rear window. The performance SUV coupe runs 20-inch wheels as standard, while 21-inch alloys will be offered as an option. Moreover, you get a new bumper with larger air intakes, side skirts, coil LED taillights, and quad exhausts to complete the look. The GLE 53 AMG is powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 435 hp and 520 Nm of torque, coupled with a 9-speed AMG automatic transmission. The next-generation version also has a 48-volt lightweight hybrid technology that the automaker calls EQ Boost that adds 22 hp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. The high-performance SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds and has a limited electronic top speed of 250 km / h.
