Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder 2020 & Cayman GT4 Launched In India

German automaker Porsche has launched the 718 Cayman Spyder 2020 and Cayman GT4 2020 in India. The Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder 2020 is priced at Rs 1.59 crore, while the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 2020 is priced at Rs 1.63 crore (all prices ex India showroom). Both models are the latest additions to the Cayman family in the country and also join the hardtop and Boxster versions for sale. The new Cayman GT4 also represents the most affordable GT model from the country's automaker.rnrnAnd commenting on the launch, said Ashish Kaul, Porsche India Sales Director. “Porsche India brings two powerful and emotional models to market, utilizing the naturally aspirated turbocharged powertrain from the current 911 Carrera model series. The 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder are all about unrivaled driving pleasure and sheer thrills. Ideal for those who want to push the limits and enjoy the pulse of the race. We are very excited to bring these authentic models to our clients here in India. With limited customization for our market, the 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder will be a rare and very special sight on our streets. "rnrnThe 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder and GT4 use newly-developed 4.0-liter, six-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engines from the 911 Carrera that develops 414 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 420 Nm of peak torque between 5,000-6,800 rpm. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Both Cayman models reached 0-100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds. The GT4 has a top speed of 304 kilometers per hour and the Spyder can reach a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour.rnrnPorsche 718 Cayman Spyder Porsche 718 Cayman SpyderrnrnThe 2020 718 Cayman twins come with Porsche Stability Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear differential lock that improves longitudinal and lateral dynamics, as well as cornering performance. The GT4 has a fixed rear wing that not only adds to the look of the model but also adds 20 percent more downforce over its predecessor. The automaker has also worked to improve aerodynamics, which produces up to 50 percent downforce without affecting traction.rnrnThe Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder 2020 comes with a rear spoiler that automatically rises at 120 km per hour. And courtesy of a functional diffuser, the ope-top model also became the first car in the Boxster family to generate downforce over the rear axle. The model also comes with the Porsche Active Suspension Management damping system that lowers the ride height by 30mm, which also lowers the vehicle's center of gravity and improves lateral dynamics.
