One-Moto, the British brand for premium EVs in India, has announced a MoU with Telangana Government for setting up its manufacturing unit in India. The new facility will be slated at the outskirts of Hyderabad, where it appears to be the main market for electric vehicles, and the state government will accelerate the electric vehicle revolution with policies that support electric vehicle production and also strong infrastructure. The brand plans to invest up to ₹250 crore to establish the manufacturing unit.
One-Moto aims to produce 40,000 units a year in the first phase, creating 500 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs in the region.
The new manufacturing plant will have major automation integration with additional semi-robots and the latest manufacturing machinery to produce cutting edge products. The plant will be spread across 15 acres of area.
One Moto recently launched its new Electa e-scooter at the EV India Show in Greater Noida. After its launch in India in November 2021, the brand has already brought three e-scooters to Indian customers: Byka, Electa and Commuta. All e-scooters are premium high-speed products with brilliant style and high-end quality.
The manufacturing plant will produce the entire One-Moto fleet, as well as two Indian fleets to be supplied by Elysium Automotives, which is currently promoting One Moto in India.
