Nissan has unveiled the new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder large SUV. The SUV, which has been redesigned from the ground up, will go on sale in the United States this year.
The 2022 Pathfinder has taken on a new face that now looks even bolder with its rugged SUV look. You get bigger wheels, an integrated three-spoke grille in honor of the original Nissan Pathfinder, C-shaped headlights, and a floating roofline. Standard LED headlights include DRL headlamps, and the C-pillar has an SUV structural profile that allows for two-tone paint. At the rear, there is a ‘boxed’ trunk lid and thin LED taillights which recall the boldness of the previous model.
Inside, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that provides the driver with a variety of easy-to-navigate display options. Additionally, the digital dash features a 10.8-inch front view screen, which is new to Pathfinder. There is also a raised 9.0-inch color center touchscreen on the new instrument panel. Overall, the interior has a modern look and the cabin feels more spacious.
The 2022 Pathfinder will be equipped with a 284-hp 3.5-liter direct-injection V6 engine with 351 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Pathfinder 4×4 models feature Nissan’s all-new intelligent four-wheel drive with 7-position Drive and a Terrain Mode selector. The SUV will have seven driving modes, including Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Tow, and Mud/Rot.
