2021 BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus Launched In India; Starting Price ₹ 77.90 Lakh

BMW launched the X5 xDrive SportX Plus variant in India with previous showroom prices starting at INR 77.90 lakh for the xDrive 40i petrol variant, while the xDrive30d diesel variant was priced at INR 79.50 lakh. Both models are manufactured locally at BMW’s plant in Chennai and sold in India as fully disassembled (CKD) units. Even the new X5 has similar looks and features like LED headlights and fog lights, 3D wraparound LED taillights, and brushed aluminum roof rails, among other things.

The cabin is also similar in terms of design. You also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, power seat adjustment with memory function and rearview mirror, panoramic glass roof, welcome light carpet, ambient lighting in six adjustable designs, four-zone automatic climate control, and blinds. Other amenities include BMW and Display Key, Head-Up Display, Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Live Professional Cockpit compatible with the latest BMW OS 7.0 and features 3D Navigation with a 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The 12.3-inch touch screen system also supports app-based connected car technology, and there’s also a 205W HiFi audio system.

The 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine of the BMW X5 xDrive 30d generates 263 bhp and 620 Nm of maximum torque at 1500 – 2500 rpm. The SUV accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 6.5 seconds. Then the 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine of the BMW X5 xDrive40i generates 337 bhp and a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1500 – 5200 rpm. The gasoline-powered SUV is even faster, hitting three figures in 5.5 seconds. In exchange, you also get Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD), electronically controlled automatic brake/differential locks (ADB-X), ‘Dynamic Traction Control’ (DTC), hill start, and descent assist. The adaptive and controllable suspension with its individual electronically controlled dampers provides exceptional precision and improves driving dynamics and handling.
