Released last year, the i20 already looks handsome and elegant, and the N Line version is expected to take things to the next level. The front end will continue with the same one-piece front grille. However, the fenders can be modified to achieve a sharper and more aggressive look than the regular version. Other highlights on the exterior could be larger wheels with a new alloy wheel design, dual exhaust pipes and an upside-down "N Line" badge.

Although the overall design and layout of the i20 N Line will be the same as the standard model, there will be specific N Line inserts such as red contrast stitching, N leather gear sticks, sport seats and a custom N steering wheel. Testing of the Hyundai i20 N Line has already started in India.

Mechanically, the Hyundai i20 N Line can be run on the current 1.0-litre Turbo GDi engine. Power output is also likely to remain the same with 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The transmission options on offer will be the iMT six-speed gearbox and the seven-speed DCT unit. With it, Hyundai can revise the suspension setup and throttle response for a more lively and engaging driving experience.
