On September 17, Bajaj Auto Ltd introduced two new models to their Triumph lineup: the Speed T4 and the MY25 Speed 400. These motorcycles are priced at INR 2.17 lakh and INR 2.40 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Designed to capture Triumph's iconic aesthetic, these models offer a mix of high performance and rider-focused technology.
Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Ltd., expressed his excitement over the launch: "With the Speed T4 and MY25 Speed 400, we reinforce our dedication to expanding Triumph’s presence in India. These motorcycles beautifully merge heritage with innovation, catering to both relaxed and performance-oriented riders."
Speed T4 Specifications
The Speed T4 is a fresh addition to the Triumph 400cc modern classic range. It boasts an engine that provides higher torque between 3500-5500 rpm, enhancing rideability at low to mid-speeds with fewer gear changes. This is achieved through a 30% increase in engine inertia compared to its predecessor, the Speed 400, ensuring improved stability at low rpm. Riders can enjoy smooth cruising at 100 kmph, accompanied by a richer exhaust note. Notable features include manual throttle body control, a slipper clutch, a 43 mm telescopic fork for a comfortable ride, progressive braking with dual-channel ABS, and a functional console with a USB port. The Speed T4 comes in three colors: Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red, and Phantom Black.
MY25 Speed 400 Features
Initially launched in July 2023, the MY25 Speed 400 has been updated to offer a more robust appearance with high-profile tires, enhanced seating comfort, and adjustable levers for enthusiastic riders. It maintains its performance-enhancing features, such as ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS, ensuring superior handling and control. The MY25 Speed 400 is available in four colors: Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, and Phantom Black.
Design and Performance
Both the Speed T4 and MY25 Speed 400 are powered by the 398cc TR-Series Engine and feature a modern classic roadster design. These models combine timeless design elements with advanced engineering, reflecting the rich heritage of British motorcycling.
