Triumph Motorcycles Unveils Updated Tiger 1200 Range in India: Starting at Rs 19.39 Lakh

Triumph Motorcycles has officially launched the updated Tiger 1200 range in India, following its global debut earlier this year. The refreshed model comes in two variants: GT Pro, priced at Rs 19.39 lakh, and Rally Pro, priced at Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the GT Explorer and Rally Explorer variants are available upon request, although their prices have yet to be disclosed.

The latest Tiger 1200 series boasts significant upgrades, enhancing engine performance, rider comfort, overall ergonomics, cornering ground clearance, seat height, and introducing a fresh color palette.

The Tiger 1200 range is powered by an updated 1160 cc inline-triple engine, featuring modifications to the crankshaft, alternator rotor, and balancer, along with recalibration for improved torque delivery at lower RPMs. The power output remains consistent at 148 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

For 2024, the Tiger 1200 introduces an Active Preload Reduction system for the rear suspension, which automatically lowers the rear suspension preload when the bike comes to a halt. This system also enables a seat height reduction of up to 20 mm with the push of a button. The GT Pro offers an adjustable seat height of 850/870 mm, while the Rally Pro stands taller at 875/895 mm.

Updated Triumph Tiger 1200

Constructed on a tubular steel frame with a twin-sided "Tri-Link" aluminium swingarm, the Tiger 1200 is equipped with Showa’s 49mm semi-active damping USD forks, providing 200mm of wheel travel. The rear features a semi-active monoshock with electronic preload adjustment and the new Active Preload Reduction function.

The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro is fitted with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels, whereas the GT Pro variant comes with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast aluminium wheels. Braking is handled by Brembo monoblock radial calipers and twin 320mm floating discs at the front, and a single 282mm disc with a Brembo single-piston caliper at the rear.

The GT Pro variant is available in Carnival Red, Snowdonia White, and Sapphire Black. The Rally Pro comes in Matt Sandstorm, Jet Black, and Matt Khaki. Bookings for the updated Tiger 1200 are now open at all Triumph authorised dealerships.

Moreover, the Tiger 1200 includes a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which can be extended. Service intervals are set at 16,000 kilometres or every 12 months.
