Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift launched, prices start at Rs. 63.6 lakh

Mercedes-Benz E-Class long wheelbase facelift has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 63.6 lakh. The sedan is available in five variants with three engine options to choose from. Available in three editions: Expression, Exclusive, and AMG Line, the new AMG Line model has a sporty exterior and unique interior trim. The high-spec E 350d comes with dual 12.3-inch screens, reclining rear seats, air suspension, and more.

2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift: Exterior

On the outside, the E-Class long wheelbase facelift features new headlamps and a front bumper, along with a wider three-slat chrome grille and chrome inlays for the fog lamp inserts. Changes to the rear include a new design of the bumper and thin, horizontal taillights, similar to those of the S-Class.

The new AMG E-Class E 350d features a unique diamond-encrusted front grille, 18-inch sport aluminum wheels, AMG front, and rear bumpers, and signature blue-beige interior trims. The paint colors available on E-Class LWB are Polar White, Obsidian Black, Hi-Tech Silver, and Mojave Silver. Additionally, Selenite Grey and Designo Hyacinth Red are also available, but for a limited time only.

Inside, a high-spec E-Class facelift now includes two 12.3-inch screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. The sedan also has a new steering wheel with capacitive touch controls. Additionally, Mercedes added a new touchscreen in the rear center armrest and two USB ports at the rear.

The long-wheelbase facelift of the 2021 E-Class carries the same range of engine options as the previous car. These engines include a 197 hp 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine in the E 200 and a 194-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel in the E 200d; And a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder diesel engine in the high-spec E 350d that is tuned to deliver 286 hp. All engines are paired as standard with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

In terms of features, the high-spec E 350d AMG Line is equipped with the latest MBUX software from Mercedes for the infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Mercedes Me connect with Alexa and Google Home, voice commands, 590W Burmester audio system, tiltable rear seats, Three-zone automatic climate control, two wireless phone chargers, panoramic sunroof, full leather trim, air suspension, soft closing doors, taillights and LED headlights.

In terms of safety, the E-Class Long Wheelbase Facelift has seven airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Traction Control, ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts, air monitoring system tire pressure, parking sensors front and rear, 360-degree parking camera. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift rivals the BMW 5 Series, the Audi A6, the Jaguar XF, and the Volvo S90.
