Latest models of Kawasaki to be launched in 2018

Kawasaki is a Japan-based company that specializes in manufacturing sports and sports touring bike range. They started their Indian wing known as the India Kawasaki Motors Private Limited (IKM) on May 2010 at Pune, Maharashtra. Kawasaki focuses on bringing global quality technology inputs and providing comfort to the rider is one of their key aims. Recently they have announced the launch of two more models - Kawasaki Ninja 250SL and Kawasaki Z250 SL.

    • The Kawasaki Ninja 250 SL: The Kawasaki Ninja 250 SL features a low positioned rider seat offering riding comfort and total control over the machine. The other upgrades include narrow tail section, split and stepped up pillion seat, split grab rails, sleek and sharp LED taillight. It is designed with an upwardly facing exhaust muzzle with shiny chrome bits.



The Kawasaki Ninja 250 SL is characterised by black alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres. In the engine section- the bike gets a 249 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed transmission. The engine can yield 27.62 bhp of peak power at 9,700 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,200 rpm. The safety features include 290 mm front disc brake and 220 mm rear disc brake. Also, it gets dual-channel ABS to ensure better safety and protection. The bike will be priced between Rs. 3 lakhs and Rs. 3.20 lakhs approximately. It features a sculpted and aggressive look. It gets a muscular finish due to the design. In the front, there is a sharp headlamp with LED lamp. Also, the bike's design ensures aerodynamic efficiency.

    • The Kawasaki Z250 SL: The Kawasaki Z250 SL was first launched in Indonesia. SL stands for Sports Lightweight. The bike weighs at 148 kgs and features a fierce sporty look. The engine is powered by a 249 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC engine. It runs on a six speed gearbox and the engine yields 27.62 bhp of peak power at 9,700 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,200 rpm. In the brakes department, the Kawasaki Z250 SL is characterised by 290 mm front disc brake and a 220 mm rear disc brake as well. Also, there is a dual-channel ABS as an option for adding more safety to the bike and rider. The bike comes with a sculpted look that gives it a hulk sort of look.

It comes with sharp LED head lamp. The fully digital instrument cluster, sculpted-looking fuel tanks with large capacity and tank scoops add zing to the bike. The rider seat is lowly positioned in order to give the rider a comfortable experience and also to ensure great control over the machine. A complete digital instrument console is present which includes speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and two trip meters. The rider will also get an indicator signal whenever the bike will run on low fuel, low oil or low battery. There are three colour options for riders to choose from- Orange, Green and Black. Kawasaki Z250 SL will be priced around INR 1.75-2.00 lakhs approximately.
