Honda SP 125 latest updates

Honda has updated the SP125 to meet the new BS6.2 emissions norms. The 125cc Sports Passenger comes with a wider rear tyre and a new color. For these minor updates, it's surprising that Honda doesn't command a huge premium.

Honda SP 125 Engine

The Honda SP125 is powered by an air-cooled 123.94cc single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox producing 10.87bhp and 10.9Nm. The bike is built on a diamond frame, which is suspended by a telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm disc/130mm drum at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear, with CBS access as standard. The bike rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 80-section (front) and 100-section (rear) tubeless tyres. The bike has a fuel tank of 11.2 liters and weighs 116 kg (curb). The seat height is 790 mm, with a ground clearance of 160 mm.

The SP125 comes with a silent start and kill switch, along with a side engine shutdown feature. The fully digital instrument cluster displays real-time mileage, eco steering, side stand operation, distance to empty, service due indicator and also gear position, in addition to the general set of information. This sporty commuter also comes with 5-spoke alloy wheels.
