The New BS6 Compliant Honda SP 125

The body and the motor of the bike are new but the frame of the body and suspension has not been changed. The bike has a diamond type frame and conventional forks along with dual shock absorbers. The braking system is also the same 240mm disc (optional 130mm drum) and 130mm drum with CBS. rnrnThe SP 125 has a wheelbase that is longer by 19 mm and is around 5kg lighter in weight than the previous version. It also has an 11-liter fuel tank, with the fuel capacity expanded by 0.5 liters. The bike is equipped with the low-rolling-resistance MRF tires that provide it with better fuel efficiency. rnrnThe new Honda SP 125 has strong competition from the Bajaj Pulsar 125 priced at Rs 66,618 and the Hero Glamour FI priced at Rs 69,950. Although, the price of the new Honda SP 125 is slightly more than its competitors it is because the other bikes are BS4 models while SP 125 is a BS6 model. When the BS4 models will be launched in the BS6 segment, then they will also see the prices to rise.rn

The Honda SP 125 has the same silhouette but it comes with a better premium look as well as advanced pieces of equipment.  Honda offers the SP 125 in two variants including the drum brake and the disc brake at the front.rnrnWhen it comes to the design, the Honda SP 125 has a new style that comes along with the edgier contours. The SP 125 is equipped with an LED headlamp and tail lamp which gives it a sportier look. Some of the features of the motorcycle include the fully-digital instrument console that comes with an Eco indicator, real-time fuel efficiency, gear position indicator and a reminder for service. It also displays the speed, engine rpm, and average fuel efficiency. This comes with the standard information. The bike also has an engine kill switch, a segment-first feature of the bike, which also doubles up as the start button for the bike.rnrnThe engine of the motorcycle is powered by the 125cc unit which is BS6 compliant now and also has electronic fuel injection. The engine of the bike gives 10.5bhp of max power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. The Transmission of the Honda SP 125 is handled by a five-speed gearbox. For the purpose of smoother operation of the engine, the Honda SP 125 is equipped with the unique ACG starter which gives the motorcycle a silent start. It removes the gear meshing noise and makes it possible to start the engine without a jolt.rnrnThe suspension of the bike has the telescopic forks in the front and the twin spring-loaded shock absorbers at the back. The Braking system of the motorcycle is handled by the drum brakes on the base. There is a disc-drum set up for the higher variant of the Honda SP 125. Both the previous as well as this version of the bike comes along with the CBS as standard. The rims of the tyres are 18 inches in size and 80/100 section tyres on both the ends of the bike.rnrnThe all-new SP 125 with its new body panels gives it a sportier look as compared to the previous model. The bike has a new design of the LED headlamps and the fuel tank has a sporty and muscular too and has attractive graphics on it. The alloy wheels are also styled differently with the 5-spoke split alloy wheels that have a sporty look. The new Honda SP 125 comes in four different color options namely, Striking Green, Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.rnrnThe Honda SP 125 has the best of the features. The bike has the Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology which helps to increase the performance as well as fuel efficiency by reducing the friction.
