Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launches Honda Dio 125 in 2 variants at INR 83,400, INR 91,300

NEW DELHI: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Thursday launched the all-new, sporty, advanced and convenient Dio 125 in India in two variants, Standard and Smart, priced at INR 83,400 and INR 91,300 (ex-showroom in Delhi), respectively.

The OBD2 compliant Dio 125 is packed with Honda's trusted 125cc PGM-FI engine powered by Honda Smart Power Boost (eSP). Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, an engine performance accelerator, improves power output by increasing efficient combustion and minimizing friction with silent start and a smooth, environmentally friendly engine, the company said in a media release.

The Dio 125 features a sporty front design with edgy headlight and stylish position lamp that enhance the style statement. The dual outlet muffler with chrome adds to the sporty DNA and produces a unique sporty exhaust.

Smart Key - Powered by H-Smart Technology: The world-renowned Honda Smart Key includes the following features to add even more intelligence to the sporty Dio 125:

Smart Find: A responsive system that helps locate the vehicle easily. When the response button on the Honda SMART key is pressed, all four turn signals flash twice to locate the scooter.

Smart Unlock: Allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle without using a physical key. If the system does not detect activity for 20 seconds after activation, the scooter is automatically deactivated.

Smart start: If the smart key is within 2 meters of the vehicle, the driver can open the seat, fuel cap and smoothly handle or start the vehicle by simply turning the knob on the Loc Mod (5-in-1 Function switch) without even removing the key.

Smart Safe: The Dio 125 is equipped with Mapped SMART ECU that acts as a security device by electronic matching (ID) between the ECU and the SMART key, thus preventing vehicle theft. The smart key has an immobilizer that prevents the unregistered key from starting the engine. Without a secure connection to the smart key, the immobilizer will not activate.
