Hero MotoCorp to increase prices of select models from 1 April

Table of Content

Hero MotoCorp has announced that it will increase the prices of selected models in its portfolio from April 1, 2023 in India. However, the company hasn’t yet specified which models will receive the increment.

As most of you know, OBD-2 (On-Board Diagnostic Device) will be mandatory from April 1, 2023 in all vehicles, which will be the reason for the price increase mentioned above. Like Hero, several other manufacturers have already increased the prices of their products, but no official statement has yet been received from them. OBD-2 is intended to monitor a vehicle's emission levels in real time and alert the owner if the levels rise beyond the permissible limits.

Hero MotoCorp explained that prices for select models will increase by approximately 2 percent and the exact amount of the increase will vary by model and region. However, it has also ensured that innovative and lucrative vehicle financing solutions continue to be offered. From now on, Hero's product range consists of motorcycles from 100cc, like the Splendor Plus, up to 200cc, like the Xpulse 200 4V. Also, it retails 110cc and 125cc scooters in India.
