Alongside the Speed T4, Triumph recently launched the 2025 Speed 400 in India, bringing several visual enhancements, new features, and other significant updates. Here's a detailed look at what's new on the 2025 Triumph Speed 400.
New Colours
The MY2025 model comes with updated paint schemes to enhance its overall visual appeal and ride comfort. The new Speed 400 is available in four colours: Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red. While all the colours look appealing, the new yellow paint scheme stands out, adding a fresh and vibrant touch to its styling.
Improved Comfort
In addition to the new colours, Triumph has improved the ride comfort by using thicker seat cushioning. This enhancement has resulted in a slight increase in the seat height to 803mm, compared to the earlier model's 790mm.
New Features and Tyres
Adjustable Levers
The 2025 Triumph Speed 400 now features adjustable brakes and clutch levers, allowing riders to customize the levers according to the length of their fingers. This adds a personalized touch to the riding experience, enhancing comfort and control.
High-Profile Radial Tyres
The motorcycle rides on high-profile radial Vredestein tyres, which offer a beefier look and improved grip in both dry and wet conditions. These tyres not only enhance the bike's aesthetic appeal but also contribute to a safer and more stable ride.
Increased Pricing
With the MY2025 update, the price of the new Speed 400 has increased by nearly Rs. 15,000. The motorcycle is now priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the more affordable Triumph Speed T4 costs Rs. 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Performance
The new Speed 400 continues to be powered by the 399cc, liquid-cooled motor, delivering 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a torque-assist clutch, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.
Bookings and Deliveries
Triumph has commenced bookings for the 2025 Speed 400, with deliveries expected to begin in a few weeks. This update makes the Speed 400 a more attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts looking for a blend of style, performance, and comfort.
