Two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor India has finally launched the much-anticipated Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 with a starting price of nearly ₹1.6 lakh on the Indian road.
Taking ahead the legacy of the MT Series, the new Yamaha MT-15 Ver 2.0 is equipped with more power and agility with its inverted front forks, aluminum swingarm, 155 cc liquid-cooled engine and other great features. In the ex-showroom Delhi, the motorcycle is priced at ₹1,59,900.
The MT-15 version 2.0 is available in four colors: Cyan Storm, Racing Blue, Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black.
Although the motorcycle looks identical to its previous sibling, what stands out is the inclusion of a US$37mm fork that is said to be similar to the 2022 Yamaha R15 V4.
“The MT-15 version 2.0 bike comes with new features such as the MotoGP forged swingarm that offers improved stability when cornering and under heavy braking, along with a new digital controller with Bluetooth technology,” said Yamaha Motor India Group Chairman Eishin Chihana.
Chihana added, “We are confident that with the new suite of features and technology, the 2.0 version of the MT-15 will appeal to more young riders looking for a luxury street bike that strikes the perfect balance between weekend riding and daily commuting needs."
Powered by a liquid-cooled 155cc engine paired with a maximum output of 18.4 horsepower, the bike features inverted front forks with 37mm air springs, with the box-section swing arm replaced with MotoGP-inspired aluminum.
Combined with the six-speed gearbox, the new bike's engine has the potential to produce 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
Based on Yamaha's Delta Box frame, the motorcycle weighs just 139kg. Accessories include tank pads, LED flasher, and seat covers.
