Jeep India launched the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk in the country on Sunday with an introductory price of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is the off-road version of the Jeep Compass and has been well tuned to provide the best combination of comfort and handling on and off the road.
It optimally integrates premium interiors and adventure genes, said Jeep India, part of the Stellants Group.
The automaker said the model's fenders differ from those of the standard Jeep Compass, allowing for higher approach and departure angles.
He added that in addition to the usual Jeep Compass features, the Jeep Compass - Trailhawk comes with a "Rock" (AWD) mode.
The company said the model's tall suspension allows it to go into water up to 19 inches deep, making it ideal for off-road driving compared to the Jeep Compass.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes with a 2-liter diesel engine that produces 170 hp and 350 Nm. This engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
In 2022, Jeep India plans to acquire a portfolio of four nameplates, to be produced or assembled locally.
Stellantis was formed from the merger of two global automotive companies, FCA and Groupe PSA.
