Mini launched the electric Cooper SE in India at a price of Rs 47.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is brought into the country through the CBU route and is available in a single, fully-loaded variant.
Bookings for the Mini Cooper SE EV commenced back in October 2021, and the company sold out all units of the model within a few days. The company will reopen bookings for the model next month, which is also when the first batch of electric Cooper SE deliveries will begin.
The electric Mini Cooper SE is powered by a 32.6 kWh battery that produces 181 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. This motor propels the car from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds, up to a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour. The battery is claimed to offer a range (WLTP certified) of 270 km on a full charge. An 11 kW AC wall box charger is included, charging the model from 0 to 80 percent in 2.5 hours. Customers can also use a 50 kW DC fast charger that can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 36 minutes.
On the outside, the electric Mini Cooper SE features LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, a new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, and a black contrast roof, plus yellow accents on the sides. ORVM and alloy wheels. The model is offered in five colors including British Racing Green IV Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Moonwalk Gray and White Silver Metallic.
Inside, the electric Mini Cooper SE comes equipped with a 5.5-inch color MID, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, sport seats, panoramic sunroof, Harman music system -kardon, electric parking brake and Nappa leather steering wheel.
