All automakers have struggled to recover from the market slowdown in recent years (since before the pandemic), and just a few have done recovered successfully. Many carmakers in India are preparing to debut new models this year before the Diwali festive season in order to attract more customers and boost sales.
There are a lot of new automobiles coming to the Indian market this year, and we've compiled a list of the ones that are likely to arrive before Diwali 2022.
The new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be officially launched in India on May 10, and bookings have already started. The Tata Nexon EV Max, a long-range version of the Nexon EV with some extra additional features, will be launched in India the following day, March 11th.
The Jeep Meridian will finally be available in India in June. The comoany has already stated the pre-order. The official launches of the Kia EV6 and the new-generation Toyota Land Cruiser are scheduled for August. The former will begin accepting bookings on May 26, while the latter has been already been pre-booked for this year.
Mahindra & Mahindra has released the teaser of the new-generation Scorpio recently, indicating that it will be released in the coming months. Apart from that, the Citroen C3, Hyundai Venue facelift, new-gen Maruti Brezza, and new-gen Toyota Urban Cruiser are all scheduled to hit the market by mid Diwali this year.
We only have guesses to go on for many anticipated vehicles. Hyundai is anticipated to debut three new vehicles in our market later this year: the new-generation Tucson, the Kona EV facelift, and the Ioniq 5. The long-range version of the Tata Tigor EV (Tigor EV Max) and the Toyota Belta (rebadged Maruti Ciaz) are expected to launch later on or after Diwali this year.

The next in line is the Maruti-Toyota midsize SUV is set to debut before the festive season of Diwali. Its main competitor, the Hyundai Creta, is expected to get a facelift in India around the same time. The new-generation Toyota Innova Crysta could also make its appearance before the end of the year, However its launch could be delayed. In the second part of this year, they are also scheduled to arrive.
