TVS Motor Company today launched the 2022 TVS Ronin in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Scrambler oriented motorcycle was launched in three variants – Base, Base+ and Mid that are priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, Rs 1.56 lakh and Rs 1.68 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
TVS Ronin is available in six color schemes, including single-tone, dual-tone and triple-tone themes in three different variants. It has a two-channel ABS system with driving modes called rain and urban.
2022 TVS Ronin Features
The 2022 TVS Ronin has an LED headlight with LED DRL, hybrid rear brake lights, a wide front tyre , and more. The motorcycle is mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels and has a comfortable riding position. On top of that, it received a pair of upside-down SHOWA forks up front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
As far as tech features are concerned, the TVS Ronin 2022 has a digital speedometer with 28 connected features, including SmartXonnect. You get steering wheel controls to manage mobile notifications, accept/reject calls, voice assistant, and change driving mode. The SmartXonnect system in the 2022 Ronin TVS also features several driving assistance features such as side parking warning, turn signal alert, phone battery alert, and low fuel alert.
The voice assistant on the TVS Ronin will help passengers find available range, navigate point by point and " voice based intensity adjustment". Additionally, the 2022 TVS Ronin gets a USB charger and an auto start/stop function or silent start system (ISG).
2022 TVS Ronin Engine
Mechanically, the TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 20hp at 7,750rpm and a maximum torque of 19.93Nm at 3,750rpm. TVS claims that the 2022 Ronin will offer a top speed of 120 km/h.
The new TVS Ronin comes with an assist and slipper clutch, a larger oil cooler, O3C technology and a larger cylinder fin area. In addition, you get a double spray syringe that burns "prepare the mixture at 3 bars and 4500 rpm.
It will compete with the upcoming Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 in the Indian market.
