Triumph Motorcycles has revised the prices on the Street Triple R and RS models in India. The 2024 Triumph Street Triple R is now more affordable by a whopping INR 48,000 and starts from INR 9.95 lakh onwards, while the RS is cheaper by INR 12,000 and sells from INR 11.95 lakh onwards. All prices are ex-showroom India. Both versions remain mechanically the same and the latest prices take effect immediately.
The Triumph Street Triple in Pure White and Glacier Silver gets a price cut of INR 48,000 and is sold at INR 9.95 lakh, while the Matt Orange and Crystal White shades are INR 22,000 cheaper and are priced at INR 10, 21 lakh. On the other hand, the Triumph Street Triple RS price now starts at INR 11.95 lakh for the Glacier Silver color, which is INR 12,000 cheaper. However, the Phantom Black, Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow colors are selling at INR 12.21 lakh, which is INR 14,000 more than before.
Triumph Street Triple R and RS engine
The Triumph Street Triple R and RS share the same underpinnings. The bikes are powered by a 765cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine and are offered in two states of tune. In the Street Triple R, the engine produces 118.4 PS and 80 Nm, while the RS gets a higher-spec version of the same engine with 128 PS and 80 Nm. Both models get a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter as standard.
Triumph Street Triple R&RS Specifications
There are plenty of other differences, especially when it comes to the hardware of both bikes. The RS has a more sophisticated suspension setup with Showa Big Piston USD forks and an Ohlins monoshock at the rear. By comparison, the R has Showa separate function forks and a Showa rear monoshock. Both units are fully adjustable.
Braking performance comes from Brembo Stylema calipers on the RS, while the Street Triple R has Brembo M4.32 calipers. Tyres are also different with the R wrapped in Continental ContiRoad rubber, whereas the RS has top-spec Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 tires. Finally, the Street Triple RS has a TFT console as against an LCD unit on the R.
Triumph Motorcycles Upcoming Launches
While Triumph has silently rejigged prices on the Street Triple range in India, the company is gearing up to introduce its next big motorcycle soon. The British manufacturer has already confirmed the new Triumph Daytona 660 for India and the launch is likely to happen in the coming months. The bike maker is also expected to introduce the third motorcycle under the Triumph-Bajaj partnership this year. The next offering is expected to be a 400cc motorcycle, likely the Thruxton 400, which was seen testing last year.
