Triumph Street Triple R 2020 launched in India, starts at Rs 8.84 lakh

Triumph Motorcycles have announced the pricing of the mid-spec Triumph Street Triple and Triumph Street Triple R at Rs.8.84 lakh ex-showroom. This makes Rs 2.49 lakh more affordable than the full-spec RS model at Rs 11.33 lakh, ex-showroom. Company dealerships have officially started bookings for it and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Triumph Street Triple R engine powers Triumph's 765cc Moto2 triple engine with 118 hp at 12,000 rpm and 79 Nm of torque at 9,350 rpm.rnrnThe power figure remains unchanged compared to the previous iteration of the Triumph Street Triple R variant. However, Triumph claims the engine feels more responsive than before, which was achieved with a 7% reduction in rotational inertia for a responsive more precise throttle. Engineers have also modified the airbox and exhaust unit for superior performance and more premium engine note. By comparison, the Street Triple RS delivers 121 hp at 11,750 rpm and 78.63 Nm of torque at 9,350 rpm. Street Triumph Street Triple R, like its powerful brother, comes with fast two-way transmission. Street naked has three riding modes for maximum control in all conditions: road, rain, and sport. Throttle response and traction control settings are easily adjusted and selected while driving through the Street Triple R instruments. Rain mode limits maximum power to 100hp for a better feel and smoother ride.
