Audi A6 Facelift
Price: INR 60 Lakh- INR 65 Lakh

The facelift Audi A6 is one of the Best Sedans to Buy in 2024. It was unveiled for international markets in May 2023 with subtle exterior tweaks, relatively minor interior changes, and some new features, such as Audi's 12.3-inch 'Virtual Cockpit' digital instrument cluster that comes as standard across the range. Updates to the exterior design include a revised LED matrix headlamp design with a cleaner look for the DRLs and a more prominent Single-frame grille, along with changes to the front and rear bumpers. A new range of alloy wheels will also be introduced. The current model's 245bhp 2.0-litre mild-hybrid turbo-petrol engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are expected to continue unchanged.
New BMW 5 Series
Price: INR 70 Lakh - INR 80 Lakh

The new generation 5 Series is next in the list of 'Best Sedans to Buy in 2024' and is expected to be larger and more comfortable than the outgoing model, and as with the new 7 Series, it will also feature a dual-screen design inside, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen, with the latest iDrive 8.5 system. Interestingly, it is the first BMW to offer a completely vegan interior option overseas. The new 5 Series range will include petrol and diesel engines, both with 48V mild-hybrid technology, and plug-in hybrid powertrains, which are unlikely to come to India. However, the biggest news is that BMW will bring the long-wheelbase version of the 5 Series to India to take on the next-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class long-wheelbase crossover.
Citroen C3X
Price: INR 10 Lakh - INR 12 Lakh

The next car to make it to our list of 'Best Sedans to Buy in 2024' is Citroen's C3X. It is Citroen's fifth offering in India and is likely to be a mid-size sedan with a fastback design and high SUV-like ground clearance, giving it a unique identity. This car will be Citroen's fourth product built on the localized Common Modular Platform (CMP), after the C3, eC3 and C3 Aircross, and we expect increased parts sharing between these cars, including similar equipment lists. The C3X will also be powered by a 110 HP 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. It is also likely that an electric derivative will be released a few months after the launch of the ICE version.
Stunning New Honda Amaze
Price: INR 7.5 lakh - INR 10 lakh
Launch: Mid-2024
Engine: 1.2 petrol
Honda is preparing to introduce the new third-generation Amaze, which will be based on a significantly updated version of the current platform and it makes it to our list of 'Best Sedans to Buy in 2024'. The new Amaze will remain less than four meters long and will likely keep the current 1.2-litre, 90bhp petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The design is likely to more closely resemble the Honda City and other global sedans from Honda. While it is certain that the diesel powertrain will not return, it remains to be seen if Honda will offer CNG-powered variants.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Price: INR 7 lakh - INR 9.5 lakh
Launch: Mid-2024

After launching the new Swift in India, Maruti Suzuki will also bring the fourth generation Dzire to the country, an all-new version of the best-selling compact sedan that will once again be one of the Best Sedans to Buy in 2024. Like the Swift, the Dzire will be based on a new platform, sport a new design, and get some significant changes to its interiors and feature list. Maruti is expected to offer the new Dzire with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine (codenamed Z12) as the Swift hatch.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes will launch the new generation of its E-Class luxury sedan in India, and like the previous version, it will be available only in a long-wheelbase variant. Based on an updated version of the Modular Sport Toolkit (MSB) platform, the third-generation Panamera will be available with V6 or V8 turbo-petrol engines, with up to four gasoline-electric hybrid powertrains. Skoda Superb
Price: INR 50 Lakhs

Skoda will reintroduce the current generation Superb sedan to our market in limited numbers after it was discontinued due to the BS6.2 implementation and thus it makes it to our list of the 'Best Sedans to Buy in 2024'. The company will offer it with a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine with a power of 190 horsepower, linked to a single 7-speed DSG gearbox. However, unlike before, the Superb will not be locally assembled in India but will be imported as a CBU (completely built unit).
