Suzuki Motorcycles India today launched the 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition of the Suzuki Hayabusa, priced at Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Unveiled in 1998 at Intermot, Germany, as the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R, sales of the legendary motorcycle began in 1999. Its production and sales in India began in 2016. The third generation model, which is currently on sale, entered the market in 2021.
The motorcycle employs the same 1340 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected inline-4 DOHC engine as the current third generation Hayabusa. It is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) with traction control and two-way quick shift systems.
The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition features a orange and black base body, and includes a gold anodized drive chain adjuster and internal front brake disc, as well as original engravings on the muffler body and drive chain. On the tank there is a 25th anniversary logo and a 3D Suzuki logo. The single-seat bonnet is now standard on this festive edition.
