Simple Launches One Gen 2 Electric Scooter in India at ₹1.40 Lakh

Simple Energy, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer, has officially launched the Simple One Gen 2 electric scooter in India at an introductory price of ₹1,39,999 (ex-showroom). The company has also introduced the Simple OneS Gen 2 and the Simple Ultra, which is now claimed to be India’s longest-range electric scooter with an IDC range of 400 km.

The updated lineup marks a major milestone for Simple Energy as it strengthens its presence in the high-performance electric two-wheeler segment. The company now offers four distinct scooter models, catering to various rider preferences and eliminating the fear of range anxiety that many EV buyers face.

The Simple One Gen 2 gets a striking redesign with a modern silhouette, focusing on performance, comfort, and everyday convenience. Compared to its predecessor, the Gen 2 model is 8 kg lighter (129 kg kerb weight), features improved aerodynamics, and delivers better ergonomics.

  • Redesigned minimalist dashboard with refreshed rider controls.
  • 1-litre glove box with dedicated USB charging port.
  • Expanded 35-litre underseat storage.
  • Seat height lowered to 780 mm for improved comfort.
  • Cruise control, traction control, and a four-level regenerative braking system.
  • Available in 5 single-tone colours – Brazen Black, Aero Grey, Grace White, Azure Blue, Sonic Red – and 4 dual-tone options including Light X, Brazen X, Aero X, and Asphalt X.

Technology and Connectivity

The Simple One Gen 2 comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display, while the OneS Gen 2 uses a non-touch display. Both are powered by a 5G e-SIM with LTE connectivity, offering real-time data, app integration, and Bluetooth connectivity for calls and media controls.

To add confidence, all Gen 2 models come with CBS disc brakes on both wheels. They also support home charging via a portable 750W charger.

Warranty Coverage:

  • 8 years on motor.
  • 3 years / 30,000 km on vehicle.
  • 3 years / 20,000 km on charger.

The Simple One Gen 2 and OneS Gen 2 are available across 61+ Simple Energy showrooms in key cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Vizag, Jaipur, Kochi, and Goa. Customers can also purchase online via Amazon and Flipkart platforms.
