Hero MotoCorp launched the new XPulse 2004V. This bike is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) and there is also a Pro variant, which is more expensive at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new 2004 XPulse 2V is now OBD2 compliant and also has an E20 compatible engine. This 200 cc single-cylinder engine could now run on a fuel mixture blended with up to 20 percent ethanol. This ADV also has a taller windshield for increased wind protection. The front has been updated with a new LED projector, which the company says has increased light intensity by 230 percent.

The new XPulse 200 4V is now equipped with multiple drive modes. The bike now has three ABS modes: road, off-road, and rally. The company claims that the ABS works optimally in highway mode to provide maximum braking performance with single-channel ABS. In off-road mode, the ABS system's involvement is reduced, which helps provide more control when braking off-road. Rally mode where the ABS on the front wheel is completely turned off, something only advanced riders should use.

The Gurgaon based manufacturer has renamed the Rally Edition to the Pro variant. This model has fully adjustable suspension at both ends, a higher seat and handlebar riser. There is an extended shifter to accommodate off-road boots, and taller sides so the bike sits properly on the ground.

The new XPulse is available in four colours: Matte Nexus Blue, Techno Blue, Black Sports Red and Rally Edition. The bookings for the bike have already started at all Hero dealerships, and deliveries will begin in a few days.
