Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select launched at Rs 16.99 lakh: What’s new

Mahindra & Mahindra today announced the launch of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 select variant in the Indian market. The Z8 Select will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options with prices starting from Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the SUV are open and it will be available at dealerships from March 1, 2024. The company also said that it has increased its production capacity and customers can expect faster deliveries.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 will be exclusively available in Midnight Black colour. Apart from this, there are no mechanical or styling changes to the Scorpio-N, and the SUV continues with the same set of engine and transmission options. Some of the exterior features include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-cylinder LED headlights, LED fog lights with DRLs and more.

As for the interior, the interior design is the same and continues to have a black and brown leatherette interior. Features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AdrenoX connected car technology, Alexa built-in, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a single-panel sunroof, and more. Safety features include four disc brakes, 6 airbags, ESP, hill hold control, hill descent control, rear camera with sensors and much more.

The Scorpio-N Select model is offered with two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine generating 203 hp and 370 Nm through a 6-speed manual transmission. The same engine produces an additional 10 Nm of torque when paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The other engine is a 2.2-litre mHawk turbodiesel producing 175bhp and 370Nm mated to a manual gearbox. With a 6-speed torque converter, the same engine generates 400 Nm of torque.

Prices for the Scorpio-N start at Rs 16.99 lakh for the MT petrol variant, and the AT petrol costs Rs 18.49 lakh. The diesel MT is priced at Rs 17.99 lakh, while the diesel AT is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
