The moment we hear the word luxury limousine generally the image of a BMW series 8 or Audi pops up in our mind. But not anymore! The Japanese company Lexus is here with its flagship sedan LX 570 that launched in India with a whooping Rs.2.32 crore price tag.
First and foremost, the LX stands out in a crowd. And it means one is definitely going to get head tu
ers all the way! The engine is a huge 5.7 liter V8 – it combines 388 PS of power and 546Nm of torque plus amazing off-road technology and multi terrain adjustment systems. The shift features AI and 8-shift ECT. This car can run on electrical power for short bursts and the motor is placed at the rear which can impart full torque power. Multi stage shift device is present which provides a super quick transmission. The wow factor lays in the front portion of the car- the spindle grille (composed of thousand individual facets) and L shaped LED headlights. This feature is unique to this car and imparts quite a character to it. The total size of this royal ride is 5.1 meters in length, 1.9 meters tall and 2 meters wide. The wheels are 20 inch in width with chrome alloy combination.
Now, coming to the interiors- the craftsmanship of the interiors show extreme dedication of the worksmen. “Takumi”- a Japanese art of cutting glass is employed and the pleats on the inner side of the doors are all hand-folded. The car is an eight-seater with seats designed in semi-aniline leather. The car also sports the latest digital control cluster which is easy to read and has a smooth navigation system. With superior entertainment systems, specific climate control and silky white LED lighting – this car truly represents “omotenashi” or the Japanese word for hospitality. The climate control is futuristic- in a sense that the car can identify individual body temperatures and provide cooling accordingly. When one opens the door the car automatically lifts up by 40mm for the rider to step in. The driver seat can be adjusted in 28 different ways. When the car stops the seat of the rider also rises up a little bit to prep the rider for stepping out.
The LX embodies performance and perfection to the highest level of engineering along with designs which was previously not seen on Indian roads. This car is built for extreme drive experiences as well as even can be driven on easy mode. To prevent outside noise and vibrations from entering the cabin the frame it is designed to separate the suspension from the body shell. The 5 speed crawl control unit is capable of adjusting the brakes and torque on each wheel separately which in tu
allows the driver to focus on steering exclusively. The car is built sturdily to withstand the test of time or even a big explosion!
Lexus has recently started accepting bookings in this country. The LX will be competing against others like Range Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser.
