Sep 18, 2019
Jawa arrived in India back in 2018 and has launched some really interesting two-wheelers for the Indian consumers. Indian people love motorcycles and they are almost faithful to any automobile giant that can provide them with an amazing vehicle at a reasonable price. Jawa is the subsidiary of the Mahindra Group and has unveiled two brand new bikes in the sub-continent and the Perak is one of them. The Jawa Perak is expected to be launched in most parts of the country by the end of November 2019. It is being manufactured with a clear aim of becoming India's first factory customized vehicle. Yes! That's true. So a lot of people are eagerly looking forward to the launch of this bike and wait to see how well it performs. For now, you can take a look at this articlernrn .Engine and transmissionrnrnThe Jawa Perak comes with a brand new kind of engine when compared to other rivals but all the Jawa bikes feature the same one. The Perak comes with Single-Cylinder, DOHC Liquid-cooled engine that is able to produce almost 30 bhp and 31 Nm, compared to the 27 bhp and 28 Nm torque developed by the 293 ccs single-cylinder engine. The engine had a good rev and power in its mechanism that we understood when turning the bike on and also while accelerating the bike at high speeds. The transmission is smooth and the gearbox functions without any hassle. The engine and transmission have been tweaked quite well and you will be really impressed with the performance it provides. Even though the transmission is not as fine and smooth as a few rivals like the Royal Enfield, the Jawa Perak has a decent and well-managed engine and transmission.rnrnBraking and suspension featuresrnrnThe Jawa Perak is a safe and sophisticated vehicle to ride on. Be it the urban roads or the highway, the Perak races quite good in all conditions. But the safety features come into play when as well. The bike has a dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and front and rear disc brake. The reaction time is quick and the ABS helps to stabilize the bike when you suddenly clasp the brakes. The 280mm Disc with Floating Caliper offers decent braking stability on wet surfaces. The new double-cradle frame suspended with telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock damper offers much better comfort and pleasure while riding over bumpy roads. The Telescopic Hydraulic Forks and Rear Suspension Monoshock will surely prove to be a bonus for the Indians.rnrnimage source-ZigWheelsrnrnDesign and other featuresrnrnThe Jawa Perak with its retro bobber style and build quality provide a fantastic appearance to the vehicle. It almost mimics the aesthetics of the most popular and loved motorbike in India the Royal Enfield Classic. The bike comes in a subtle Matt Grey color shade that has been integrated with gold highlights on the sides and the tank. That looks fantastically well and aesthetic to the viewers. The Bobber-style single seat is covered with genuine tan leather and adds to the overall good looks of the vehicle. The leather seat is soft and very comfortable for long rides. The other parts of the bike underneath get a black finish. The console is not digital as you would expect because Jawa wants to maintain the retro style really hard. The console consists of Speedometer, Odometer and the Fuel Gauge which can be seen clearly without any issues there. The fuel tank has 14 litres of capacity that are really good, and especially for those who want to travel long distances. With a mileage of around 30-34 km, the Jawa Perak allows you to ride for a long time without having to halt much. With a full fuel tank, you can cover almost 435-450 km easily.rnrnThe Jawa Perak is supposedly going to be priced at around 1.55 lakhs and that places it in a comfortable position considering the features it offers. However, the unavailability of a pillion seat and the mediocre suspension the Perak can be a bit of a turn off for some. But those who can do away with them will be looking forward to checking this brand new sophisticated Bobber-style bike in 2019.rnrnimage source-IndiaCarNewsrnrn
