Hyundai launched a facelifted website in India, with prices starting at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom India). Bookings are underway for the SUV, while deliveries are set to begin soon.

Hyundai Venue 2022 will be available in five main variants: E, S, S + / S (O), SX and SX (O). The petrol and diesel turbo variants now start at an affordable price of Rs 10 lakh, due to their inclusion in the lower S(O)/S+ variant. Meanwhile, the 1.2-liter petrol engine can be had in higher-end S(O) and SX variants.

Design-wise, the revised Venue looks significantly different from the pre-lift version, but retains the same boxy silhouette. It gets a new Tucson-inspired Parametric Jewel grille along with the same dual lamp setup. However, the lamps of the upper group are getting new LED elements. The redesigned front bumper has a trim type element that makes it look simpler and straighter.

The profile of the 2022 Venue hasn't changed much, except for the new 16-inch alloys. In addition to the airy front appearance, the SUV also has a fully renewed rear end. There is a certain futuristic look thanks to the new connected LED taillights. The rear bumper looks more straight and with the fake skid plate (also present at the front), it looks more like an SUV.

Moving into the cabin, the facelifted Venue will be covered in a new black and ivory color. The overall design of the interior has not changed, except for some new features. This is what the upgraded site earns:

  • LED projector headlamps
  • Four-way powered driver seat
  • Flat bottom steering wheel
  • Digitised driver display
  • Driving modes: Economy, Sport and Normal (only for DCT)
  • Two-step reclining seats in the second row (segment-first)
  • Compatibility with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Automatic air purifier
  • Ambient nature sounds
  • Multi language infotainment interface (10 Indian languages)

Features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, electric sunroof, automatic air conditioning, up to six airbags, ESC, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), and a rear parking camera with guidance have been carried forward.

Hyundai Venue 2022 is available in seven color options:

  • Typhoon Silver
  • Phanton Black { New }
  • Fiery red
  • Denim Blue
  • Titan Gray
  • Polar white
  • Fire red with two-tone black roof (new)

The SUV does not gets any mechanical changes and continues with its three engine options: 83 hp 1.2 liter petrol, 100 hp 1.5 liter diesel and 120 hp 1 liter turbo petrol. While petrol and diesel have a 5-speed manual transmission, respectively, the turbocharged petrol unit can be had with either 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) or a 7-speed DCT (dual clutch auto).

The facelifted Hyundai Venue continues to rival with the other seven cars in the small SUV space, namely Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300.
