Hyundai Creta 2020 VS Creta 2019

The arrival of Hyundai's sister brand, Kia, to the Indian market has made life more difficult for previous medium-sized SUVs, Crete. Seltos abolished Creta as the best-selling mid-size SUV, and the Hyundai SUV needs a new next-generation model to face its cousin face to face. We have already seen the next Creta, which Hyundai recently launched in China as ix25. However, we will have to wait until February of next year, since Hyundai will probably present Creta 2020 at the first event mentioned, followed by the launch at a later date. Will the next second generation of Creta be able to fill the existing style shoes in the Indian market? Compare the two to find out.

It is advisable that the next Creta be a little larger than the outgoing model: it will be 30 mm long, 10 mm wide, with a 20 mm longer wheelbase and, however, will be 43 mm shorter than the model the current generation.

Creta dimensions - New / Old

            • Length - New - 4300 mm  Old - 4.270 mm

            • Width - New - 1,790 mm Old - 1,780 mm

            • Height - New - 1,622 mm Old - 1,665 mm

            • Wheelbase - New - 2,610 mm Old 2,590 mm

Design

Hyundai Creta 2020 is scheduled to get a major design review, compared to the current sales model. Since the launch of the first-generation model, Creta has attracted most people with its bold and industrial look. However, Hyundai has played safely while designing Creta so far and has not included anything out of the box.

However, things will change with the next Creta. Hyundai has given up traditional design for an unconventional look. The ix25 SUV was designed with the design statement "Sensuous Sportiness" by Hyundai and, therefore, compatible with the brand's consecutive front grille, with split LED headlights, similar to spotlights on site.

Creta's first-generation overall silhouette is preserved, which gives both models a similar profile, regardless of the new alloy wheels, of course. At the rear, 2020 Creta will have a split configuration similar to the LED taillights, just like the front. The boot lid will also have horizontal support, which will feature the brake light.

FEATURES

It is always known that Hyundai raises the level of technology every time it launches a new product. Current Creta comes with a wide range of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen information and entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smart key connectivity, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, cordless phone charger, cruise control.

However, the next generation of Hyundai Creta will definitely set many standards for medium SUVs in the future. Inside the cabin, Hyundai ix25 has a large entertainment system with a stacked vertical touch screen that also functions as an HVAC controller.

The Creta of Chinese specifications also obtains a panoramic sunroof, and if it arrives in India, it will be the first show in the sector. It is also likely that the car obtains a fully digital MID, a 360-degree camera along with multiple driving modes of the current generation.

Drive

Currently, Hyundai offers Creta a single gasoline and two diesel engines. A gasoline engine is a 1.6-liter unit that produces 121 hp of maximum power and 151 Nm of maximum torque. The smaller 1.4-liter diesel engine has a power of 89 hp and 220 Nm of torque, while the powerful 1.6-liter diesel unit produces 126 hp / 265 Nm. The three engines currently offered are compatible with BS4.

Hyundai Creta 2020 will get BS6 compatible engines from day one, and the car will share its platform with its cousin, Kia seltos. Therefore, it will be offered with 1.5-liter Seltos petrol and diesel engines. The maximum power of the two engines reaches 113 hp, but the fuel unit has a maximum torque capacity of 144 Nm, while the diesel engine produces 250 Nm. The Seltos are also offered with the 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol unit with the most distinctive and sporty GT Line alte
atives. The engine mentioned above produces 138 hp and 242 Nm of torque and can be offered by Hyundai as an "N" option with the Creta 2020 line in India.

In short, the highly anticipated Creta will get a more dynamic and premium exterior design full of mode
technologies and the engine line is brand new.
