Homegrown motorcycle and scooter manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has added the new Destini 125 to its XTEC lineup. As part of the XTEC family, the new scooter also features LED headlights, a new Nexus Blue color option, a retro design system and chrome elements to enhance the exclusivity.
“The XTEC technology package is beginning to make a name for itself, being the signature of the latest technology and the number one feature in the sector,” said Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Strategy and Planning at Hero MotoCorp.
By adding a new theme and design elements to its vehicles, Hero XTEC variants are now available in Glamor 125 and Pleasure + 110.
Masson added, "We introduced the XTEC editions on the Glamor 125, the highly acclaimed Pleasure + 110 and today on the Destini 125 that will boost its popularity even further."
The new scooter, as part of its retro styling, comes with premium chrome trim on the mirrors, a muffler protector and handlebar. Other design elements of the new Destini 125 XTEC include the ‘XTEC’ badging, dual-tone seat and coloured inner panels.

New Destini 125 XTEC technology features include the company's proprietary i3S (Idle Stop & Start System) technology for improved fuel efficiency, a front USB charger, a new Digi analog speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, and side mount motor shut off And the seat back for passenger comfort during flights.

Pricing for the new Destini 125 XTEC is Rs 79,990 (ex-showroom), making it sit at the top of the line. The STD variant of the Destini 125 is priced at Rs 69,900 and the LX version is priced at Rs 74,300. Notably, the only new model of the Destini 125 XTEC has an LED headlight and Bluetooth connectivity over its standard counterparts.
The company also claims that the new Destini 125 XTEC LED headlight "provides unprecedented illumination" as it now has longer, wider illumination intensity and wider light intensity and road reach.
The Hero Destini 125 XTEC continues to be powered by a BS-VI compatible single-cylinder engine with 9.1 hp and 10.4 Nm of torque, just like the other variants. Interestingly, the Destini 125 XTEC still doesn't have front disc brakes and relies on drum brakes at both ends for stopping power.
