2025 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Spotted at Dealership Ahead of Launch

Royal Enfield is almost ready to pull the covers off the updated Meteor 350, and ahead of its official launch, the motorcycle has already been spotted at a dealership. This makes it the first major update for the Meteor 350 since it debuted back in November 2020. The popular cruiser is one of the brand’s bestsellers, and the 2025 version promises a mix of subtle styling changes and useful feature additions — all while keeping its familiar 350cc heart.

What’s New in the 2025 Meteor 350?

The test unit seen at the dealership reveals several updates that set the new Meteor apart from the outgoing model.

  • A brand-new blue paint scheme that stands out on the road
  • LED headlamp borrowed from the updated Classic 350
  • LED turn indicators for a modern premium touch
  • Tripper pod with turn-by-turn navigation
  • USB Type-C charging port for on-the-go convenience
  • A Stellar variant with a blacked-out exhaust, replacing the traditional shiny chrome one

These updates may look minor at first, but they enhance the Meteor’s overall touring appeal while giving it a fresh look for 2025.

Cosmetic Touches and Variants

The biggest talking point is the new shade of blue, which adds a sense of youthfulness to the retro cruiser. Royal Enfield has also swapped out traditional halogen bulbs for LEDs, which should improve visibility during night rides.

The bike spotted at the dealership was the Stellar variant, and it sported a black exhaust system instead of chrome. While it’s unclear whether the other trims like Fireball and Supernova will get similar blacked-out bits, this change certainly adds a more aggressive character to the Meteor.

Engine and Mechanical Details

Underneath, the Meteor remains unchanged mechanically. It continues to use the tried-and-tested 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Output figures remain the same as before.

Specification

Details

Engine

349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled

Power

20.2 hp

Torque

27 Nm

Gearbox

5-speed

New Addition

Slipper clutch for smoother gear changes

Top Speed

Around 120 km/h

The single biggest upgrade on the mechanical side is the inclusion of a slipper clutch. This will not only make gearshifts lighter but also prevent wheel lock-ups during aggressive downshifts, giving riders more confidence both in city traffic and on highways.

Feature Highlights of the 2025 Meteor 350

Royal Enfield hasn’t skimped on comfort or technology either, ensuring the Meteor lives up to its reputation as a touring-friendly cruiser.

  • Semi-digital instrument cluster
  • Bluetooth tripper pod for navigation support
  • USB Type-C charging port
  • LED headlamp and indicators
  • Dual-channel ABS with disc brakes
  • Cruiser ergonomics with relaxed riding posture
  • Comfortable pillion seating
  • Tubeless tyres with alloy wheels

Competitors in the Segment

The Meteor 350 has carved out its space in India’s mid-size cruiser market, but competition is heating up. With these new updates, it will continue to go head-to-head with:

  • Honda H’ness CB350
  • Jawa 42 Bobber
  • Yezdi Roadster
  • Benelli Imperiale 400

While rivals offer their own mix of features and style, the Meteor’s combination of Royal Enfield’s legacy, reliable 350cc engine, and modern updates gives it a strong foothold in the segment.

Price Expectation and Launch Timeline

The outgoing Meteor 350 is currently priced between ₹2.05 lakh and ₹2.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Given the new features, the updated Meteor is expected to see a minor revision, with prices likely going up by ₹10,000–₹15,000 depending on the variant.

An official launch is expected soon, with deliveries likely to begin shortly thereafter.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 seems to strike the perfect balance — keeping its tried-and-tested mechanicals intact while adding just the right dose of modernity with LED lighting, smartphone-friendly features, and a slipper clutch. These practical updates make the cruiser more appealing for everyday riders as well as long-distance enthusiasts.
