Mahindra Scorpio-N 2022 launch highlights: The new Mahindra Scorpio-N made its global debut in India today i.e. June 27, 2022. It is one of the most anticipated SUV of the year. Prices for manual variants of the new Scorpio-N start at Rs 11.99 lakh and go up to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra will reveal the prices of its 4X4 and automatic variants in July.
Bookings for the same will begin on July 30, while deliveries will commence during the festive season. Test drives will begin on July 5 in 30 Tier 1 cities and in the rest of the country on July 15, 2022. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N is much better than its predecessor. While most SUVs in this segment use a monocoque chassis, the Scorpio-N is based on a ladder frame platform to improve its off-roading abilities.
It shares its powertrain with the XUV700. The SUV has a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine developing 197 hp and 380 Nm and a 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engine developing up to 173 hp and 400 Nm, depending on the variant. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed torque converter with Mahindra's new 4XPLOR 4WD system. In terms of features, Mahindra's new SUV is rich in features and the same is true of the Mahindra Scorpio-N.
It has a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Adrenox with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, more than 70 car-connected tech features, power sunroof, Sony premium audio system, dual-zone climate control and more. This SUV will be available in five variants namely Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8 L. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N will compete with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 700, MG Hector Plus, etc.
