The European testing institute, Euro NCAP, has tested the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee for crash safety and gave the SUV its highest rating of five stars. Euro NCAP test ratings are a recognized crash safety standard across Europe, and the level of safety is constantly being raised.
The SUV scored 84 percent in the adult occupant test, 89 percent in the child occupant protection test, 81 percent in the vulnerable road user test and 81 percent in the safety assist test. The test model was equipped with front airbags, knee airbags, curtain airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioner with load limiter, seatbelt reminder, and ISOFIX.
Under the hood, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is powered by a twin-intake 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 petrol engine that makes 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a Quadra-Trac 4x4 system.
