Honda India launched the 2022 CB300R, which was showcased at the Indian Bike Week (IBW), priced at Rs 2.77 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2022 model is locally assembled in India, while the BS4 bike was brought to India via CKD route and launched at Rs 2.41 lakh, in 2019.
2022 Honda CB300R: Updated Engine
The 2022 Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc DOHC 4-valve engine with 31.1 hp at 9,000 rpm and 27.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. In comparison, the BS4 engine produces 30.45 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. The engine was mated to a six-speed gearbox, while the assist and slipper clutch appeared on the 2022 model.
2022 Honda CB300R: Cosmetic Modifications and Additional Features
The 2022 model shares almost the same chassis as the outgoing bike, but Honda has given the new car a few tweaks to give it new appeal. Updates include new colors: Matte Black and Spartan Pearl Red, gold fork finishers, and blacked-out radiator guards and front tyres. Honda has also tweaked the design of the exhaust end can for a sportier look.
Feature-wise, the bike has all new LEDs and an LCD screen with a gear position indicator and shift light.
2022 Honda CB300R: Chassis
The company hasn't made any changes to the chassis, and the bike uses the same frame, DVD fork, and a seven-step adjustable single-step. The braking units are also the same. However, the new bike has a slightly longer wheelbase of 1352mm compared to 1344mm on the old bike. The curb weight of the car was also reduced by 1 kg to 146 kg.
2022 Honda CB300R: Availability
Bookings for the 2022 Honda CB300R are open and the bike will be available at all Big Wing showrooms across the country. The company has 88 touch points and is expected to expand to 100 by the end of the financial year.
