This is the latest entry on the GNCAP list of Safer Cars in India. Mahindra's second car, Thar, received a 4-star rating for adult safety and a 4-star rating for child safety. The new generation Mahindra was revolting generations ahead of its predecessor and it cost between Rs 9.80 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh. It comes in 13 different variants with two engine options. Both manual and automatic transmissions are included with the vehicle. There is also no real car competition in its class yet. 



5) Tata Tiago



The Tata Tiago is the safest entry-level hatchback in India and is a great choice for anyone buying a new car. The 2020 GNCAP Tata Tiago tests received 4 stars for adult safety and 3 stars for child safety. As for its price and chipset, these are impressive numbers. Maruti WagonR, Tata Tiago's most well-known competitor, only managed to get a two-star safety rating in GNCAP tests. The Tata Tiago costs between Rs 4.70 lakh and Rs 6.74 lakh and comes in 8 variants with one BS6 petrol engine option. Both manual and automatic transmissions are included with the vehicle.



6) Tata Tigor



The fourth Tata product on the list, the Tata Tigor is also India's safest compact sedan to date. It also received 4 stars for adult safety and 3 stars for child safety. Compared to other cars in its class, it is also much less expensive. The Tata Tigor costs between Rs 5.39 lakh to Rs 7.49 lakh and comes in 6 different options with one BS6 petrol engine. 8) Mahindra Marazzo



 Once again, a car from the Indian manufacturer is the Mahindra Marazoo. Mahindra Marazzo with 2 airbags in 2018 received a 4-star rating for adult safety and a 2-star child protection rating. It is one of the safest minivans in the Indian auto market. Mahindra Marazoo costs between Rs 11.25 lakh and Rs 13.59 lakh. It comes in 6 different types. There is only a diesel engine and a manual transmission with MPV. Of the basic variant itself, it comes with the standard security features.



9) Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza



 Surely Maruti Suzuki might have surprised you a lot by securing a spot on this list. The Maruti Brezza is one of the safest cars in India sold by Maruti. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza tested in 2018 with a 4-star rating for adult safety and a 2-star rating for child safety. While the Nexon and XUV300 are more secure in their class, the Maruti performs very well. Maruti Vitara Brezza BS6 costs between Rs 7.34 lakh and Rs 11.40 lakh. It comes in 9 variants with a single BS6 petrol engine option with both manual and automatic transmission.



10) Maruti Suzuki Ertiga



Some cars have been discontinued and deleted according to GNCAP's Top 10 List. Hence, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV ranks 10th on our list of India's 10 Best Safest Cars in India. The best selling Maruti minivan in India costs between Rs 7.59 lakh and Rs 10.13 lakh. In 2019, with 2 airbags, Ertiga has a 3-star safety rating for both adults and children. It comes in 7 variants with a single BS6 petrol engine and manual and automatic transmission. It costs half of the Toyota Innova and doesn't bargain much.
