Tata Nexon EV JET Edition launched at Rs 17.50 lakh: Here are all the changes

Along with the introduction of the special "JET" versions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs, Tata Motors also offered the same treatment for the Nexon EV. The Nexon EV JET Edition launched in India with a starting price of Rs 17.50 lakh, with special treatment available with the Prime and Max versions of the electric SUV.

What makes the new Tata Nexon EV JET Edition so special? For starters, the EV Special Edition gets a unique Starlight exterior paint scheme, including an earth bronze tone for the bodywork, along with a platinum silver roof. The JET edition also has black wheels and ORVM’s

On the inside, Tata offers a Nexon EV JET version in a black and white two-tone design with bronze inserts on the dashboards and doors. The car has ventilated front seats, along with #JET branding on the seat headrests. Please note that the changes are limited to visual enhancements only.

The Nexon EV Prime electric motor is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery and generates 129 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque. Its claimed range is 312km on a single full charge, and the electric SUV will take 10% to 90% charge from 10% to 90% via a standard 15amp plug point, while a fast charger would charge the battery from 10% to 80% in an hour.

In contrast, the Nexon EV Max has a larger 40.5 kWh battery that can be charged from 0 to 100% in 6.5 hours with a 7.2 kW fast charger and from 0 to 80% in 56 minutes with a 50 kW fast charger. The Nexon EV Max's electric motor generates 143PS of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque, helping the SUV to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 9 seconds.
