Tata Motors has achieved a significant milestone with its electric vehicle business. The carmaker has sold over 1.5 lakh units of its electric cars in India. Additionally, the brand achieved 48 percent year-on-year growth with 73,800 electric vehicles sold in fiscal 2024 compared to 50,000 units in fiscal 2023.
Tata Motors currently has four all-electric models on sale, including Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV and Tigor EV. As for prices, electric vehicles range between Rs. 7.99 lakh and Rs. 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), catering to a wider range of customers with electric hatchbacks and SUVs.
Additionally, Curvv EV and Harrier EV will soon join and expand the Indian automaker's electric vehicle portfolio. Both models are scheduled to go on sale in fiscal 2025. Meanwhile, the latter was recently spotted with a rear-mounted engine indicating an all-wheel drive setup.
Recently, Tata Nexon EV and Punch EV scored five stars in crash tests conducted by Bharat NCAP. Both models performed exceptionally well in protecting children and adult passengers.
