Skoda Auto to introduce three new electric vehicles by 2030

-Skoda Auto aims to have a 50-70 percent share of the electric vehicle market in Europe by 2030

-Boost its position in entry segments.

Skoda Auto has set its roadmap for the coming years with the company's new project "Skoda Strategy 2020". Intrigued by the growth in the budget electric car space, the Czech Republic-based automaker will introduce three pure electric cars by 2030. Skoda Auto is targeting a 50-70 percent share of Electric car space in Europe by 2030 .

The next three electric vehicles by Skoda Auto will be positioned below the recently launched Enyaq iV. These models are intended to enhance the brand's presence in the entry-level segments and will be aggressively priced.

To drive the conversion of electronic components and manufacture locally, the three Czech factories of Skoda, Boleslav, Kvassini and Verchlabi will be retrofitted and remanufactured by 2030. Currently, Skoda Auto manufactures high-voltage traction batteries for the Superb iV and Octavia iV plug-in hybrid models. In 2022, Skoda will also begin production of MEB battery systems for the Enyaq iV.

As for India, the first model to be launched under Skoda's "India 2.0" project is the Kushaq mid-size SUV, which will be launched on 28th June 2021. After the Kushaq, will come the Kodiaq and an all-new mid-size sedan that will be placed above the current generation of Rapid. Both models will be introduced in India later this year.
